“And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.” Ephesians 1:13-14
Being sealed with the Holy Spirit tells the world that you belong to God. You receive Jesus’ righteousness and are saved from eternal damnation when you have saving faith in Jesus Christ. It’s at this exact moment the Holy Spirit enters into you. He seals and dwells in you as proof that you are saved. The Holy Spirit is the one that helps you to obey God. This would be the beginning of a new era. A new creation. Day by day you begin to look more like Jesus by becoming loving, selfless, patient, kind and all those wonderful good traits that resemble God the Father. Before you couldn’t do those things in your corrupt human nature that is naturally inclined to evil. But with the Holy Spirit’s help, now you can.
The dove: The Holy Spirit came in the form of a dove with Jesus was baptized (John 1:32). The dove also symbolizes purity.
The olive branch: This represents peace with God. Noah sent out a dove to perch on dry land during the flood. The third time it leaves the ark, the dove comes back with an olive leaf that signals the flood is receding. This shows that God’s judgement through the flood is ending which symbolizes that there’s peace with God again.
The stamp: The stamp shows that once you have the Holy Spirit, you get Him for forever. He seals you as a proof that you’re God’s child set apart from the world who will live for God through the Spirit’s help.
