Faith Statement
-
God is triune (Deut. 6:4) who is infinitely perfect (Matt. 5:49) and exists eternally in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Matt. 29:19).
-
Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man (Phil. 2:6-11). He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin Mary (Luke 1:34-38). He died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for every unrighteous sinner to reconcile us to God (1 Pet. 3:18) and now sinners are justified through faith (Rom. 5:1). Jesus rose from the dead according to Scripture (Acts 2:23-24) and now currently is at the right hand of God on high as our great High Priest (Heb. 8:1). Jesus will come again to establish His kingdom, righteousness and peace (Matt. 26:64).
-
The Bible that consists of the Old Testament and New Testament is God breathed, inspired and has all authority from God (2 Pet. 1:20-21) for teaching, reproof, correction and training in righteousness (2 Tim. 3:16).
-
Man was created in the image and likeness of God (Gen. 1:27) but disobeyed and sinned against God bringing upon physical and spiritual death (Gen. 3). Both men and women are born with a sinful nature (Rom 3:23) and can only be saved through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 15:20-23). All sinners are under God’s wrath but can be justified and saved through faith in Jesus Christ (John 3:16).
-
Salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ for all men; and those who repent and believe in Him are born again of the Holy Spirit, receive the gift of eternal life, and become children of God (Titus 3:4-7). We understand that our works cannot save us, but it is by grace through faith that we are saved (Eph. 2:8-9).
-
Sanctification is the process of becoming more like Jesus and imitating our Savior in every area of our life. After being justified through our faith in Jesus Christ, we live in the Spirit who actively works in our life to bear fruits that marks us as God’s children (Gal 5:22-23). It is a daily process of being obedient to God and using our bodies as a living sacrifice to worship God (Rom. 12:1). We are able to live pleasing lives for God because we have been set free in Jesus Christ from sin and death (Rom. 8:2).
-
The Church consists of all those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, and are born again of the Holy Spirit. Christ is the head of the Body, the Church (Eph. 1:22-23). The Church, which consists of every believer, has been commissioned by Jesus to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the Gospel to all nations (Matt. 28:19-20). The local church is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together for the worship of God, for edification through the Word of God, for prayer, fellowship , the proclamation of the gospel, and observance of the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Acts 2:41-47).
-
Christ will return again. The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent (Heb. 10:37).
